Antique & Modern Jewellery

Welcome to our March Antique & Modern Jewellery Auction. Our back cover displays an array of stylish designer pieces, to include lot 408, a Van Cleef & Arpels ?Alhambra? mother of pearl pendant, and lot 356, a Chopard ?Ice Cube? bracelet estimated at £300-400 and £1,500-£2000 respectively. Just in time for Easter, we also have lots 409 and 410 adorning our back cover. These two enamel and diamond egg pendants are by Victor Mayer and have the guide price of £50-80 and £60-90. Mayer is famed for working with Faberge in the production of enamelled egg pendants between 1989 and 2009, and these pendants certainly bear the same workmanship. Other lots that would make perfect gifts include lot 135, a 2.03cts diamond solitaire ring. This diamond is certified as E colour, VVS2 clarity and has a guide price of £10,000-15,000. Another stone of note can be found in lot 61, a pendant showcasing a 29.50ct tanzanite highlighted with three diamonds. This fantastic piece is estimated at £2,500-3,000. Our selection of antique jewellery this month is equally as impressive, with an array of intricate mourning jewellery on offer. Lot 488 is a finely woven hair bracelet with stylised gold clasp and suspended heart locket, offered at £260-360, and lot 527 is an early 19th century gold pendant depicting a finely painted woman, urn and weeping willow, estimated at £180-260
