Flora Gill Jacobs’ Washington Dolls’ House & Toy Museum Through her numerous and pioneering books on the subject, Flora Gill Jacobs has inspired generations of dolls’ house and miniature collectors. Now, after almost 30 years, her delightful museum must close its doors. The sale of Mrs. Jacobs’ wonderful collection, lovingly assembled over nearly 6 decades of avid pursuit, will provide an unequalled opportunity for today’s collectors. The sale takes place at the Bethesda Md. Hyatt Regency Hotel - 2 miles from the museum on Saturday June 19. More than 35 major dolls’ houses - a number of them fully furnished, plus numerous smaller buildings, shops, and furnished rooms along with over 200 lots of important miniatures and more than 70 dolls will be sold as well as a number of unusual and rare toys including a Schoenhut Teddy Roosevelt Safari set with original paper backdrop.
