If you are after old-cut diamonds lot 201 is set with four impressive diamonds, the two principal diamonds weighing 2.31 and 1.91cts respectively, graded as G and F colour and SI clarity, with an estimate of £10,000 - 15,000. As ever, this auction presents a wide variety of iconic and desirable designer names. Our excellent selection of Tiffany & Co. pieces include lot 318 and 319, two diamond ?lock? pendants. Our other designer offerings include lot 275 a Chanel ?Camelia? bangle and lot 265 a pair of Bulgari ?Allegra? diamond and gem-set ear pendants. Following on from our designer section and featured on our back cover we have lot 372, from the estate of the late Lady Stewart. Mary, Lady Stewart was a British novelist who popularised the romantic mystery genre throughout the 1960s and ?70s. She published many fi ction novels during her career, acquiring a piece of jewellery or objet d?art to celebrate after each. It was after the release of her most famous work The Moon-Spinners, that she chose to commission this unique brooch (Lot 372) from Cartier, London. The piece is an exquisite diamond and yellow diamond brooch, depicting a yellow diamond crescent moon and a swirling ribbon of diamonds. This one-of-a-kind piece, not only refl ects the fi ne craftsmanship and interpretation of the book title by Cartier, but also the imagination and success of one of Britain?s finest female novelists.
