EBAY BID HISTORY READOUT: the handling of livebids versus absentee bids by the livebidding software may give the appearance that one has bid against themselves. This is easily explained and if there should be any unreasonable bidders encountered, they shall be dealt with in kind. No items have been knowingly misrepresented. If any item in the catalog is proven to be grossly represented, a refund may be issued to the buyer, up to but not exceeding the purchase price. Many items by the very nature of their age have wear that reflects their years of use, and normal wear will not be listed. Major damage or restoration that, in the opinion of the auctioneers, is of concern to a dealer or collector will be detailed. Buyers who would like to know the fine points regarding condition should attend the ample preview or call before the auction. Buyers should examine items before placing a bid. Dirk Soulis Auctions guarantees the age and authenticity of origin of a lot for a period of seven (7) days from the date of receipt of the item and only to the purchaser of record at the auction. If it is determined to our satisfaction that the catalog listing is incorrect, the sale will be rescinded provided the lot is returned to Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions in the same condition in which it was at the time of the auction. It is also the policy of Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions to have the purchaser obtain, at the purchaser’s expense, the opinion of two recognized experts in the field, mutually acceptable to Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC and the purchaser, before any consideration to rescind the sale under the above guarantee. The purchaser’s sole remedy in the event of disputed authenticity of origin of any lot shall be the rescission of the sale and return of the original purchase price and premium paid by the purchaser. The above return policy becomes null and void if initial payment for the item in question is not received within 10 days of the auction. Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions accepts no liability of any kind for an item after the gavel has fallen or it is declared sold. WITHDRAWN LOTS: Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions reserves the right to withdraw any property before the auction and shall have no liability whatsoever for withdrawal of the property. Dirk Soulis Auctions accepts absentee bids including internet bids, live auction internet bids and telephone bids. These bids are executed competitively. All absentee bid items are purchased as inexpensively as possible. Absentee bidding procedures are not foolproof and Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions is not responsible for failing to execute any absentee bids. A fee of $25 will be assessed on all returned checks.

In no event will the liability of Dirk Soulis Auctions to any purchaser with respect to any item exceed the purchase price actually paid by such purchaser for such item.
PACKING AND SHIPPING: We are not in the business of packing or shipping. All arrangements for packing and shipping are to be made between the buyer and their chosen shipper. We offer the following names and phone numbers of shippers only as a convenience to prospective buyers. Dirk Soulis Auctions may, in its discretion and at a purchaser’s request, package and ship items as directed by purchaser. In such event, purchaser agrees that (a) all such packaging, handling and shipping is at the sole risk of the purchaser and that Dirk Soulis Auctions shall have no liability for any loss or damage to such items, and (b) purchaser shall pay in advance, all packaging expenses, including labor, materials and postage and carrier fees, and all insurance charges. Merchandise will be shipped within 15 days of receipt of payment. Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. Dirk Soulis Auctions is in no way responsible for the acts or omissions of independent contractors, packers or carriers of purchased merchandise. In most cases furniture is shipped through independent contractors. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: Bidding on any item indicates the bidder’s acceptance of the above terms and conditions.
