Featuring The Personal Collection of John Parker:
We are pleased to offer the personal artifact collection of John Parker. John has collected artifacts for fifty years. Over those decades, John has bought and sold dozens of artifact collections, always keeping a few favorites back for his own collection. You'll also recognize some of the superb artifacts that John has purchased from private collections and auctions.
John was first featured in Who?s Who in Indian Relics #3 (1972). Most recently, many of his artifacts were displayed in Ballinger?s book, Collectors of Historic and Prehistoric Artifacts. The Parker collection is a diverse collection, containing a wonderful selection of hardstone artifacts and large flint relics. Many of John?s relics have never before been offered at auction.

This auction contains the second half of the fabulous Allan Shope prehistoric artifact collection. It features the Spiro Eagle Woman Pipe. It simply one of the finest prehistoric artifacts to ever be offered to the public. Rare and impeccably documented, this Spiro Great Pipe graced Mr. Shope's collection for over a decade.
And, Introducing the Earl Riddick Collection
Introducing the Earl Riddick collection of Precolumbian Pottery; This Precolumbian collection was acquired during the 1960's, largely from Dr. David Warner (Greg Perino's associate while at the Gilcrease Museum). During the next 40 years, Dr. Frederick Dockstader evaluated and appraised the Riddick Collection several times. Dockstader served as the Director of the Museum of the American Indian (Heye). Most of the Riddick artifacts were individually recorded in these appraisals.
The Riddicks are well known for their donations of Precolumbian artifacts to several universities, including the University of Central Arkansas and the Gilcrease Museum. This is the finest grouping of Precolumbian pottery we have seen.
