This diverse auction features over 375 lots of coins, currency, medals and exonumia spanning American history as well as foreign items. Early American coins include half cents from 1803 to 1850, large cents from 1797 to 1857, and early small cents like Flying Eagle and Indian Head types. One key rarity is an 1808 half cent graded Very Fine with an inverted reverse. Mid-19th century classics offered include Liberty Seated coinage like an 1843 Seated dollar graded Very Fine and an 1858-O Seated half in Very Good. Late 19th century highlights include 1897-S, 1898-O and 1904-O Barber halves along with an 1893-O Morgan silver dollar in Fine.
The auction has a nice selection of early 20th century gold with a 1915 Indian Head $5 graded AU and 1910-D Saint Gaudens double eagle graded BU. An MS64 1928 Saint highlights modern classic gold. Featured classic commemoratives include a 1918 Illinois and 1934 Texas half dollar, both BU. Modern commemoratives like a 1992 Columbus Quincentenary set with clad, silver and gold coins are also included.
Numerous mint and proof sets from the 1950s to 1990s provide collectible examples of modern U.S. coinage. These include proof specimens like a PR65 1964 Accented Hair Kennedy half along with mint state gems like an MS64 1904-O Morgan.
The sale has currency and paper money as well. Obsolete bank notes, Confederate money and large size silver certificates from the early 20th century are up for grabs. Modern small size notes include Hawaiian emergency issues from 1935. There are also Colonial notes like 1777 $3 printed by John Dunlap along with various fractional currency.
Foreign coins and exonumia are also well represented. Medals, tokens, Love tokens and counter stamped or hand-engraved coins provide extra collectability. There is ancient coinage along with hammered silver as well.
