The auction sells all types of collectible militaria, including named military groupings & archives, edged weapons, orders, medals, insignia, awards, patches, headgear, uniforms, flags & cloth, buttons, documents, flight jackets, gear, arms, armor, & art.
A number of historically significant pieces are offered in this 880 lot Wartime Militaria Memorabilia Auction. Some of the more notable items are:
- WWII D-Day Flown Flag of LCI (L) 421 - Gold Beach (King Red) Invasion of Normandy and archive grouping of Steve Andy Hudac, who served as Coxswain of LCI (L) 421 during D-Day operations and landings. Consigned by the family.
- Manchukuo / Japan Order of the Illustrious Dragon Grand Cordon Medal Set - Cased ("LUNG-KUANG TA-SHOU CHANG"). This set was brought back from Japan by Civil Employee Robbie Ashlock, who worked as a Secretary and Stenographer with US Army General Douglas MacArthur's occupation force from about 1946-1949. Consigned by the family.
- First Pattern Philippines Battle Flag - Veteran bring-back. Period note stitched to the flag reads, "Willie P. Ludlam brought this home from Philippine war. He gave it to Albert Ludlam 1901."
