Oakridge Auction Gallery?s second day of ?Winter 2023 Fine Chinese Art and Antiques? continues to offer ample first-rate ceramic vases, sculptures, and fineries. Comprising 219 lots, we present items of varying firing techniques, glazes, forms, proveniences, dates, sizes, functions, and accents sure to tempt any collector. Historical highlights include two tasteful Tang dynasty sancai-glazed sculptures of a camel and horse, several Song dynasty Juan-kiln items, and a Yuan dynasty green-glazed lotus jar. Likewise, an expansive selection of Qing and Republic period pieces are represented, such as a refined Qianlong period tea dust-glaze tripod censer and a charming set of porcelain plaques by Hu Banghao (Republic period). Featured here are numerous glaze and decorative styles including but not limited to clair-de-lune, blanc-de-chine, grisaille, famille rose, famille noire, wucai, and celadon. The diverse range of fine, no reserve offerings in this session allow both those in the earliest stages of collecting and the most experienced ceramic connoisseurs to expand their collections with ease.
