With roughly 150 lots of Wedgwood consigned from a Philadelphia collector and with select additions. Included are wares including jasper, black basalt and fairyland lustre, spanning the 260 years of production. Highlights include an 18th century black basalt library bust of Marcus Aurelius among several on offer, a pair of Emile Lessore decorated queen's ware vases with applied blue jasper medallions, a full-size black jasper Portland vase, and a pair of dark blue jasper dip canopic jars and covers. The 20th century is also well represented with several fairyland and other lustres featuring a punch bowl with Poplar Tree exterior with a black sky, Woodland Bridge interior to a daylit sky and with a Mermaid centre, a pair of Wedgwood Erling Olsen design green-glazed Pan bookends in the art nouveau style, a Norman Wilson glazed water nymph, and a black basalt Newton, Master of The Universe figure taken from an original bronze sculpture by Sir Eduardo Paolozzi.
With a strong focus on continental European silver. Select highlights are a pair of Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candelabra designed by Harald Nielsen, a Mario Buccellati Sterling Silver Footed Bowl, and Cardeilhac .950 Silver Cream Jug and Sugar Bowl. Within that, there is a fine representation of Fabergé wares including a .916 silver bellpush in the form of a sow, a kovsh-shaped Rococo. 875 silver bowl, silver kettle and stand, among other Russian pieces. American silver shines with a six-piece Art Nouveau Martelé coffee and tea service, a George Shiebler sterling silver ice spoon, and a Cartier silver and enamel basket. Notably, English silver boasts a four-piece Hunt & Roskell coffee and tea set in its original fitted case.
