This month Clarke presents an eclectic collection of Fine Art from all corners of the world including several old master works and an antique Italian cassonne panel. International artists feature: Omar El Nagdi, Igor Tulpanov, Emory Ladanyi, Jiri Kolar, Itzchak Tarkay, Militch de Matchva, Giuseppe Palizzi, Charles Victor Tillot, Paul Delvaux, Aristide Caillaud, Guy Houdouin, Antonio Charrua, Julian Pacheco, Oliver Clare, Jorge Castillo, Rufino Tamayo, Antonio Seguí, Isaac Witkin, and more. Work by important American artists such as: Sol LeWitt, Louise Nevelson, O. Winston Link, Tom Wesselmann, Alexander Calder, Daniel De La Rue Johnson (African American), Oliver Johnson (African American), Leonard Besser, Paolo Corvino, John Alan Carrol, Carl Kahler, Keith Bruce Finch, Donn Russell, Edward Adam Kramer, Harry Barton, Frank Gallo, Peter Todd Mitchell, etc. Midcentury lots are highlighted by a set of 8 Karl Springer "Onassis" chairs, a Springer parchment dining table plus Aldo Tura, George Nelson, Jurgen Bey Kokon long chair and several midcentury iron and metal sculptures. High quality Regency furniture from a local estate is another high point of this sale. Of note is a captain's desk, a "what not" shelf and an architect's desk. Decorative items include a 3 piece French bronze mirrored "Surtout de Table," a several bronzes including a Triton-form fountain, sterling, porcelains, carpets, lighting, jewelry and clocks. For Clarke's avid Chinese buyers Clarke?s has porcelains, ivories, art, hardwood and marble top tables and a magnificent pair of highly carved antique 2 door cabinets.
