2. The total sales price is subject to applicable sales tax. PA residents will pay 6% unless a tax exempt form is on file.

3. Acceptable forms of payment to Alderfer Auction Company are cash, bank check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, & PayPal. No personal checks will be accepted.

4. Complete payment is required day of auction or upon receipt of notification of a successful bid.

5. Paid items may be removed from the auction site on day of auction until 5:00 p.m. and during the hours of 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday October 6, 2003, Tuesday and Wednesday, October 7 & 8 by appointment only, and Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After October 8, 2003 at 5:00 p.m., any items remaining at the auction site will be placed in storage. Fee for storage will be $10 per day per item.

6. Packing, shipping & insurance is handled by The Packaging Store, a third party shipper. The shipper will pack multiple items of similar size & type together if possible. General questions regarding shipping/insurance and tracking should be directed to “The Packaging Store” at (215) 361-6940. Please allow 2 weeks from receipt of payment for shipping. 7. The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer shall decide the buyer or immediately put the item up for sale again.

8. Due to uncertainties of bidding, a lot may sell to the audience for the same amount as an Internet bidder. The auctioneer’s decision shall be binding and final.

9. The record of sale, kept by the auctioneer and clerk, will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes.

10. Some lots are offered subject to a reserve. A reserve is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold.

11. Auctioneer will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute bid(s). Absentee bids must be in writing and a fifty-dollar minimum bid is required per item. Phone bidding is an available service and must be arranged in advance with our staff.

12. All auction inquiries must be received 24 hours prior to the start of the auction. The deadline for email inquiries for October 2, 2003, 1:00 p.m. EST.

13. Purchasers may inspect the merchandise and are urged to do so. The Auctioneer makes no warranty as to condition and shall not be responsible for any defects in any Lot. All goods are exposed for Public Exhibition and, for Internet buyers condition is described below. All goods are sold “AS IS” and “WITHOUT RECOURSE”.

CONDITION REPORTING:

Posters
The posters were primarily used for display purposes around the miniature circus. All of the posters offered for sale are applied/glued to a cardboard back with a simulated scroll edge. Most have some damage to the edge of the frame. All of the posters have some flaws, including but not limited to wrinkles, wear, mildew, foxing, small tears, and small tack holed from mounting them to a wood frame behind the cardboard. They are all nevertheless very colorful and nice graphics, and have very nice eye appeal.

Miniature Circus Wagons and Lots
As described in more details in the Auction Details above, this circus was hand-carved in the 1920s and 1930s, and has resided at Dutch Wonderland since 1974. Due to the nature of the items and their use, the condition is normal and consistent with their age. Most of the pieces have minor loss and damage, including but not limited to paint loss, wear, missing fingers or hands, missing harness leather. The majority of the items are in very good condition, and details of condition are visible in the photographs. The objects are not located at the auction house, so any further condition reports will be very difficult to obtain. Any major problems were noted.
