Our summer evening sale commences with an attractive selection of Fine Art, including a Louis Icart (French, 1888-1950) Dry Point & Etching, a Tom Hale (American, 20th Century) Acrylic on Masonite and an Oil on Canvas depicting a view of St. Mark's in Venice, by Wallace Herndon Smith (American, 1901-1990). Over 40 lots of exquisite jewelry are also being featured, including a Paul Ditisheim Platinum Open Face Pocket Watch and a 14kt Gold Wrist Watch by Tiffany & Co.. Decorative Objects and Furniture abound, with a Heintz Art Metal Shop Art Nouveau Bronze Vase with Sterling Overlay, unique Bar Stools by Zanotta as well as three Armchairs by Antonio Citterio for B & B Italia. Two noteworthy features on Friday night include over 20 lots of Exotic Animal Trophy Mounts, including an African Sable and a North American Bull Elk and an impressive weaponry collection showcasing over 30 lots of Swords, Daggers and Bayonets from a variety of regions including Africa and both the Middle and Far East. And finally, our sale closes with a feature of fine art books and exhibition catalogues from the collection of Ellen Sharp, Detroit, MI, former Curator of Graphic Arts at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
