Canadiana & Decorative Arts

An exciting offering of fresh-to-the-market Canadiana antiques. Folk art and decorative art from the late 19th Century through to the 1970s featuring the Alan Emerson Collection. This sale features an impressive lineup of estate-fresh Canadian art by Maud Lewis, Joseph Swift, J.J. Kenyon, Homer Watson and many others. In the Canadiana category we feature stoneware and pottery, fruit jars, furniture, oil lamps, trade signs, quilts and folk art. Included is an impressive c.1900 folk art circus parade from the original Cornwall family estate. Highlights in the decorative arts section include majolica art pottery, figural silverplate, chicago school lamps and the long-awaited Jack Reingold Collection of cold-painted "naughty" bronzes. Overall, this sale is a Canadian milestone not to be missed.
