Pridham's is pleased to offer the Fall International Fine & Decorative Arts sale: 350 lots of well curated art, silver, porcelains, bronzes along with many rare & unusual objects. Some sale highlights will include original works by Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Henrietta Mabel May, Walter Joseph Phillips, Joseph Archibald Brown, Horace Champagne, Manly MacDonald, F.M. Bell-Smith, Lorne Bouchard, Benjamin Chee Chee, Jean Miotte, Louis Icart, silkscreens by Jean-Paul Lemieux & Emily Carr, A.J. Casson. Along with over 80 works of fine art, Pridham's Auctions & Appraisals is pleased to include a selection of fine inventory items from one of Canada's most highly esteemed antique shops - DONOHUE & BOUSQUET, who after 50 years of continuous business in Ottawa as silver specialists and long-time members of the Canadian Antique Dealers Association (CADA), are closing their doors. Since 1971, Donohue & Bousquet have been dealing in fine 17th-20th century silver & accessories, and count among their lengthy list of notable clients several Prime Ministers of Canada, high ranking Members of Parliament, Supreme Court Justices, Foreign Service Ambassadors, as well as a host of prominent and historically significant Ottawa families. Other inclusions will be19th and 20th century bronzes, a monumental Royal Vienna porcelain vase, Loetz, Lalique, Tiffany & Co., Fabergé, a good selection of Asian porcelains and paintings. Fine furniture will include a fine Canadian Eastern Seaboard mahogany sideboard, an Egyptian Revival bookcase, fine mid century modern.
