Museum de-accessions Philadelphia Museum of Art, Glencairn Museum,Indianapolis Children’s Museum, NYC Fashion Museum, New England University, Estate of Carnell Kirkeeng. The Kirkeeng collection ranges from the 19th century to the 1960’s with a focus on the 1920’s to 1940’s. Included in the collection are 7 Adrian’s, Gladys Parker, Helen Rose, & Emma Domb, Pola Stout. Other designers Cassini, Chapman, Cardin,Pucci, Griffe, Courreges, Trigere, Galanos, Gernreich, YSL, Hermes, Valentino, Vuitton, Norell, McCardell,Muir, LaCroix, Dior, Molyneux, Missoni, Chanel, Tassell, Lanvin, etc. A Christian Dior Trompe l’oei runway model dress 1949, beaded 1920's dresses, French art deco beaded dress & coat sets, 2 Molyneux, several lame dresses, 100's of hats, shoes, cowboy boots to be sold in large lots, designer accessories, handbags, beaded bags, etc. The textile portion of the sale will include the last of the Swatch Books from a NYC museum de-accession. The books include lace, silk ribbon, metallic, lame and other samples. In addition to the individual swatch books, the entire sample book and business records of the Crown Woolen Mills, operating in Marcellus, New York from 1884 until 1958, will be offered. The collection includes swatch books, company ledgers, journals, account and payroll books dating from 1876 thru 1958. The 200+ fabric swatch books date from 1914-1959 and together with the company ledgers comprise the entire archive of this company from 1881 to 1958. The Crown Mills Collection will be offered as one lot.
