CAROUSEL COLLECTION OF KEN & BARBARA WEAVER

THE COLLECTION OF KEN AND BARBARA WEAVER TO BE SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 BEGINNING AT 10 AM Ken and Barb bought, sold, collected, and restored carousel animals and art for 40 years, as well as pottery, decoys, folk art, and more. ?Ken and Barbara Weaver spent 52 years together enjoying everything antique. They began collecting in 1966 and were still at it until 2018 when Ken passed away. Now Barbara has decided to downsize and sell most of their collections. Their tastes were very eclectic, buying only bought items they liked, including spatterware, blue decorated stoneware, oil lamps, redware, Staffordshire dogs, rocking horses, pull toy horses, carved wooden horses with riders from fairground machines, metal targets from fairground machines, and some small groups of toys, cannons, military figures, clocks and game boards. However, in the mid 1980's what really caught their attention was anything related to carousels. This included full size figures of horses and menagerie animals. They also collected decorative pieces from the carousel such as mirrors, shields, rounding board parts and any other carved pieces. Since both of them were involved with the restoration of these pieces, there are also miscellaneous parts such as legs for animals, leather pieces, stirrups, brass poles, and other remnants that might be useful. Now it's time to let others who love to collect and restore to become the new caretakers of the past.? The sale will include 20+ carousel animals by E. J. Morris, Muller, Stein and Goldstein, Dentzel, Looff, Dare, and other makers, other carousel related carvings, figures, and accessories, carved rocking horses, decoys, toys, blue decorated stoneware, spatterware, Staffordshire dogs and figurines, Deldare pottery, Rockola jukebox for restoration, Mills slot machine, samplers, lighting, clocks, and much more!!!!
