Treadway/Toomey Galleries will present their annual 20th Century Art & Design auction on Sunday December 2nd at 10:00 CST. held at the John Toomey Gallery, 818 North Blvd, Oak Park Il, The three-session sale contains over 1100 lots. The first of the three sessions will feature an assortment of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Arts & Crafts furniture such as Stickley, Roycroft, Limbert, Frank Lloyd Wright,Green & Green. A selection of lighting including Tiffany, Daum, Handel, van Erp and Grueby. Examples of Tiffany glass, including lamps shades, vases and Metalwork in Tiffany desk sets and frames. Ceramics include a variety of Rookwood, Van Briggle, Teco, Grueby, Marblehead, Amphora, Newcomb College and others. The second session with consist of American and European paintings by such artists as Joseph Rusling Meeker, George J. Rozen, Thomas Hart Benton, Seymour Fogel and others. The third session will feature Mid Century Modern by such designers as Eames, Milo Baughman, Paul Evans, Rhode, McCobb, Kagan, Wormley, Parisi, George Nelson and others. Modern lighting, glass and art pottery will also be featured, including works by Pianoni, Higgins Rondelay, Clyde Burt, and Piero Fornasetti.
