Hudson Valley Auctioneers located at 432 Main Street Beacon, New York will present a three session unreserved estate auction on Monday November 19th. Due to a rare opportunity the company will depart from it's standard two session sales to include another online session beginning promptly at 3:00 PM EST. Session One offers online bidding with Liveauctioneers.com as well as in house, absentee and phone bidding and will offer the private Islamic arts collection of Edward L. Ochenschlager of Garrison NY and includes fine ceramics, bronzes, tiles and friezes, artifacts, artworks, fine carpets, metalworks from ancient to modern of about 250 lots. Ochsenschlager is past Professor Emeritus at Brooklyn College and former director of excavations at Thmuis and Taposiris Magna in Egypt; and Sirmium in Yugoslavia; assistant director at al-Hiba in Iraq; and Shibam, Yemen. The collection was acquired over several decades from nationally recognized auction companies, local Hudson Valley estate auctions, respected NYC and London galleries as well as several online brokers. Session Two follows at 5:00 pm with 250 lots also online bidding enabled and includes antique and custom furniture,clocks, Chinese including Kang Hsi, Max Kuehne coffee table, a carved folk art carved bank, a ladies fan purportedly a gift from Sarah Bernhardt as well as an excellent folk art cloth doll, two rosewood Eames recliners, Saarinen for Knoll oval table with six chairs, a Nelson for Hermann Miller floating top desk, a McCobb Calvin Irwin Collection server, Curtis Jere sculpture, James Mont lamp stands, L&JG Stickley sofa, drink stand & Stickley Bros.
