Join us for this 1-Day Only Exclusive Event abounding in extremely rare and highly sought-after Shipwreck Gold as well as other Numismatic Rarities that are sure to delight even the most discerning collectors and investors. These historical shipwreck coins have been recovered from the S.S. Central America which set sail on September 3, 1857 from Panama for New York carrying up to 20 tons of gold. On September 10 they encountered a hurricane off the coast of the Carolinas which caused the ship to spring a leak. By 8pm on September 12th, about 160 miles east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, the ship had sunk losing its passengers, crew, and treasure to the bottom of the sea, not to be seen again for nearly 130 years. In 1857 the sunken treasure was worth an estimated $2 million, or $300 million today! Collecting shipwreck gold has always been desirable amongst collectors because they are increasingly rare. Of the thousands of ships that have sunk, few have been recovered and even fewer were carrying gold coins and nuggets of this caliber. For collectors the chance to own a coin from one of the most famous shipwrecks in American history is too much to pass up, making these coins increasingly sought after. These recovered coins have been encapsulated and graded by PCGS with both the curated coin and “pinches” of recovered gold dust which is about equal to a California 50 Cent gold piece of dust. Don’t miss your chance to own an epic piece of American History shipwrecked gold. We look forward to seeing you at the auction.
