Asian arts & European ceramics
Day 2 starts with the collection of Qianjiang cai wares. followed by 19th and 20th C. Chinese taste porcelain. Vietnamese, Korean and Thai market wares prelude the textiles section. The journey continues with the early wares from Song and Yuan Dynasties, which brings us to the monochromes. The large collection of blanc de Chine preludes the last part of the sale, which embodies mostly blue and white wares from the Ming and early Qing Dynasties, as well as wucai and famille verte wares. The sale moves towards its end with important armorial wares and a number of Japanese wares, including miniatures. After these 1000 lots, we will move on to the European ceramics section.
