Hudson Valley Auctioneers' February sale is scheduled for the 5th at 5:00 and is an unreserved two session multi estate auction in the 432 Main Street Beacon, New York gallery. This sale includes a large amount of art, artists will include Herbert G. Jackson, Frank Colson, Joachim Probst, Ramos Catalan, Emmett Fritz, Aaron Berkman, Joseph Zenk, Michael Kelly, Michael Loew, and Jack Von Ryder to name a few. Other estate contributions include eight Darrel Greene pulp illustrations and sketch book, an interesting mixed media by Lorenzo Burchiellaro and Xenia Valenti, three NYC scenes by Larry Edwardson, woodcuts by Conrad Felixmuller & original cover artwork for the October 5th 1955 NY Daily News by Leo O'Mealia under the banner "Who's a Bum". Furniture includes country items including small cupboards, Hunt Country, several sets of chairs, Arts and Crafts including Stickley and a whole host of smalls. From a Pleasantville estate comes a doll collection including a tremendous Peggy Nisbet collection to be sold as one lot, handmade dolls and several antique bisque. Vintage toys include a Buddy L dump in original paint, cast iron, diecast, Matchbox, soldiers, comic character, litho tin and more. Collections of photos, ephemera, lots of china and glass, Persian carpets and Asian and Pre Columbian will also be included. A selection of sterling silver flatware and hollowware led by a Tiffany Makers compote and an early Wood and Hughes punchbowl. A Bronx estate was filled with Mid Century offerings include cabinets and case pieces by Dunbar, McCobb, Probber, Sieling Modern, Thayer Coggin & more. A fine chrome and Glass coffee table by J. Wade Beam for Brueton as well as lighting by Arteluce, Murano, and other makers of the period is topped off by an original ensemble of Bang and Olufsen stereo equipment on its original rosewood component console.
