Millea Bros. June 27th ABC auction is one for and from the history books. Featuring a single owner corporate collection of 16th-18th c. rare engravings, lithographs, and maps, all lots start at just $10 with no reserves. This sale includes fine large folio examples from Currier & Ives, Thomas Dutton, Audobon, and other pioneers of 19th c. lithography with sections devoted to American Derby, America’s Cup and regatta, birdseye views of NYC, Brooklyn, small town America, and 17th-18th c. maps of North America. Standout lots include a rare William Faden Revolutionary War map from 1776 (lot 401), a John Bornet birdseye view of NYC (lot 29), Benjamin Smith’s 1850 large-scale rendering of Philadelphia harbor (lot 348), and a series of Currier & Ives prints devoted to yachts, steamboats and tall ships.
