The Design Collection of Dimitri Levas is comprised of more than 100 works selected by the famed stylist and art director. Levas, whose impressive resume includes working with Robert Mapplethorpe for many years, has amassed an extraordinary collection of art, furniture and design objects. From unique pieces of Italian glass to significant modern furniture forms and radical lighting designs, this one-of-a-kind sale creates a commanding and influential composition. Highlights from The Design Collection of Dimitri Levas will be on view in our New York gallery beginning May 31st. The auction will be hosted in Chicago on June 8th. --------- Design: Presenting a thoroughly-vetted selection of important works, Wright's June 8th Design auction is a comprehensive survey of mid-century design from around the globe. From French classics by Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé to works from America's Paul Evans, this sale includes works by many of the most notable designers of the period. A significant collection of ceramic pieces, including works by Betty Woodman and Jun Kaneko, among others, will also feature prominently in this sale.
