Desert West Auction May 6th & 7th, 2017

May 6th & 7th, 2017 Auction will feature the James R. Hummert Estate Collectibles and Antiques. James served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and when on leave traveled extensively throughout Europe. James enjoyed a career in acting in NYC on both Broadway and TV. James returned to college and achieved a PhD in Anthropology, fostering a great interest in collecting artifacts, during travel for both work and pleasure. James was a professor on a trip around the world with a semester at Sea, and artifacts in his collections were acquired in the country of origin. Pleasure travel took him to Africa, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Peru and the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon, France, Mexico & many U.S, locations, including Alaska. It has been a pleasure to prepare and present some of the items in James Hummert's estate for the May auction and look forward to the June, July, and August sales as we progress with the selling of his estate.
