ITEMS AS DISCRIBED-FASTEST SHIPPING EVER-VERY HAPPY

No pictures of actual items (just boxes) for online bidding. Trains were packed incorrectly in boxes causing damage to most items. Damage could have been avoided with proper packing.

Won an item on one of their auction. The item was 20 "× 7" × 6 "and it was shipped inside a whopping 24" × 24 "× 18 box and was charged $215.! I emailed the auction house about my concern about the shipping and NEVER got any response.

Overall a good selection of quality items. I look at all their auctions and always find something of interest. Shipping a tad on the slow side, but they ship themselves, so I didn't have to mess around finding a third party shipper. That's a huge plus in my book.

Curated item as described, extremely quick shipping, careful packaging, and I would buy from again.

Leonard Auctions was very easy to work with. I had some special issues and they were able to accommodate all of them; and they did it very pleasantly. The item was beautifully wrapped and delivered on time. No chance of any damage in transit. I would gladly bid on other items listed by Leonard Auctions and feel confident that if I won they would be a reliable partner.

They offer in house shipping which makes the whole process easier. I hate HATE chasing after shipping companies that I don't know begging them to give me a shipping quote.

That alone says a lot. I wouldn't keep coming back to them if I had any trouble. The fact that they handle the shipping makes the process easy. I might add that their shipping charges are very reasonable. I have bid and won items from some other auction houses only to find it difficult to get a shipping quote from the shippers they recommend, or getting shipping quotes that are sky high after I have already won and paid for an item. I avoid auction houses that do not offer in house shipping.

This was a large grouping of violin and other parts which were as described and pictured. they were given to a shipper who packed them and shipped them with reasonable care. The cost of shipping however was excessive well over $400 This was a bit of a shock as I have many things shipped from many places. I was unable to get a shipping estimate until after the purchase. I would think an approximate estimate would be in order. I checked cost of actual shipping by weight with my UPS account as I use UPS regularly, and the cost to ship was just over $100. The packing well over $300 which is excessive for wrapping smallish plastic boxes in plastic wrap and placing them in cardboard boxes. Cost of materials was minimal as I ship myself Worldwide. I think $300 for an hours work is certainly excessive for labor. I am not complaining about the process just that this Company too full advantage by overcharging for shipping. The grouping of parts were just as described my complaint us with the shipping process not the auction process

Leonard Auction house is a class act. Their items are as described, their personnel are responsive and detail-oriented, and they offer items that are both lovely and intriguing. I’ve emailed them with (probably) odd requests, and they always respond quickly and helpfully. I highly recommend them.

Beware when buying "gold" items from this auction house. I had to have all the items tested by my jeweler and half of my items that were advertised as gold were actually gold filled. I asked nicely to return my lot for a refund, and the reluctantly gave me a partial refund and a very hard time about it. Then, they "accidentally" filed a dispute on my account, and I couldn't bid on other items for several days. Bid with caution.
