Vague and incomplete description of item leading to overpaying for product with no real value
I was sold a product that collectors refer to as "garbage." The coins I received had all valuable ones removed, and it was not an accident. Anyone who deals in coins could spot it in less than a minute, so it was not disclosed honestly. The valuation should have reflected this, but the seller was not forthcoming about it. In our case, the maximum value of the coin couldn't be more than $50. The seller's website had a blurry picture, which should have been a red flag. Unfortunately, their terms and conditions state that they don't know what they sell or the value of their products. That's an easy and pathetic way out for them. So, I would advise buyers to beware and stay away from them.

You were sold exactly what was described in the auction catalog, 3, 000 wheat cents at $0.06 per coin. Are you mad because there was no $1000 coins in the bag that I offered to collectors for $0.05per coin? I guess the consignor would be really upset if I allowed that to happen. All collectors acknowledge the fact that you bought wheat cents in bulk at $0.06per. We had bidders at $0.05 and you outbid them. Circulated wheat cents bought in bulk at $0.06 per are never called “garbage”. We sell 100, 000’s of wheat cents in just the manner you bought yours and never had a complaint. So, I guess you need to find someone who will sell you rare and valuable coins in lots of 3, 000 cents at a time at $0.06 per. I have been selling coins for close to 50 years and your comments are the most ridiculous to date. Mike Joyce

No discount for wire transfers.
My bill for this auction was over 14, 927 not including sales tax. They require payment by wire transfer for jewelry items over $1000. It seems like since they don't have to pay a credit card fee that they should offer a 3 % discount for items paid for by wire transfer. I spoke to them on the phone on this and never could get a good answer on why they didn't offer a discount on wire payments. On the plus side their buyers premium is 18 % which is quite reasonable. Another plus is they will ship jewelry in house. I will bid with them again.

For a change a real company at least the item I bought was real
My ring came with appraisal certificate and GIA certificate for the main stone. I am happy and think I got a good deal. I made a few other purchases from other auction houses recently and got copy of branded items. Thankfully Gulfcoast's item was great. One rare company I am happy with. Thank you

Smoooth transaction
If you bid on a lot of auctions as I do it gets confusing when I have to contact third parties to handle the shipping. I prefer auction houses that offer in-house shipping like this one. My experience with this auction house was a good one.

Never received item nor response to where it might be
Won and paid for the item 11/10. Continually reached out to see when it would be shipped. Never contacted me back, never received the item nor refund that I can see. Fortunately it was only $30 so not worth any more of my time but would never purchase from again.

Very nice bracelet and good customer service
The bracelet I purchased was of good quality and was represented well in photos. I had to contact Gulfcoast Coin & Jewelry for shipping questions and they were more than willing to assist me. Very nice company to work with!

Photos were deceptive
All of the photos showed the piece as being creamish white white pale shades of bluish streaks. The piece is actually turquoise with shades of bluish streaks. Only purchased because of the color depicted in all of their photos. Upon receipt I reached out to the auction house with the issue and my disappointment. They responded with sorry and in the future ask questions. So, my warning about this deceptive practice is to trust nothing and to question everything from Gulfcoast Coin & Jewelry.

Wonderful Experience Dealing with Gulf Coast
This coat is wonderful, beautiful and warm, as were the other 3 coats I won at bidding from your company. Thank you for follow up with the Lynx hat that came with the Lynx Coat. I would like to mention that a STROKE of FATE came my way with two of these coats, The stroller Mink had the Name 'Dianne' stitched in and this coat was for my sister whose name is "Dianne" which is not a common name. I is beautiful and mint condition, she was overwhelmed with it. The Full Length Mink coat had the name 'Marie' stitched in it, the one I am keeping; I realized only after I chose this coat for myself that the name "Marie 'was Inside. It is beautiful. So, do you now believe in FATE? Thank you, Will never forget your company. Marie
