Unexpected shipping costs and Rude responses
Shipping casts are hidden, You can expect to pay 45 %-55 % increase at auctions end, Jared knows the shipper UPS store and does not care about how they over charge, I will go elsewhere for better transactions,

We work with various shipping company's. At the time of Jeff's transaction we were exclusively using a local ups store with success at that point. Jeff first took longer than our terms to make payment, then was in a huge rush to get his items shipped if recall and in the 48 hours or so between payment and coordination with the shippers, he REFUSED to pay the ups rates which were not crazy. He was impolite to the shipper and was offered other cheaper options which required him signing a shipping waiver as the condition could not be insured without ups stores required shipping practices. He decided to ignore these options for well over a month before trying to dispute the transaction and charge back the payment for the goods. I provided LiveAuctioneers with the communications and did not hear anything until this feedback. So, I apologize that you were not satisfied with the transaction Jeff but your actions did nothing to help find an agreeable solution. With all these details, I find it hard to take the blame for you not being able to accept the costs involves with shipping your items. As we tell every bidder in our terms, we do not handle shipping in house. We have plenty of successful transactions, sorry that you feel yours was so unreasonable. Jared Schoenly

Overall a no good auction experience. if you decide to bid with them, PLEASE go to the auction. I knew i should of held out when there was outsourced shipping. Descriptions were very vague and one picture on most items. I called after receiving my damaged items and talked shortly with someone at the auction house. I told of the problem., and he quoted. I really shy away from, and preferred to not do online bidding > > no sorry or any thing. but "hey thanks for the feedback" The whole problem was the outragious shipping, and the shipping i received was VERY POOR > I was told it would be packed by a shipping professional. whole point. IF you bid, go to the auction house. Ive done auctions for a long time. and just not thrilled with this.

Shipping can be a BIG Issue
BEFORE trying to bid with auction house... Bidder Beware.... Be Proactive in asking about comparable shipping providers... The Only 3rd party shipper that was provided did Not communicate well and way overcharged for shipment...... Additionally, I had long delay in shipping process and had to make Several calls to attempt to follow up with shipping company.... I was Overcharged for shipping basically receiving a Gigantic box full of bubble packs around my small lot which was in the middle... The shipping company said they could have cut down the size of the box but then my lot was not insurable if lost or damaged... (Standard comment made by this company I am sure)..... Communication with the 3rd party shipper was challenging... A customer should not have to work that hard to have a lot shipped to them and then try to track down tracking number.... My lot from winning to receiving was a month long process... Even after I initially paid quickly after auction.... If I were to ever participate again in auction, I would need to make sure that a different 3rd party shipper was available for shipping... I understand it was the holidays (I took that into account)... and I understand that 3rd party shipping is usually more expensive then in house shipping processes..... I would just like to caution future bidders to look into shipping cost from this auction BEFORE thinking about buying....

Poor communication
I sent an email 12/17/19 and again 12/27/19 with no response. 12/29/19 I notified Liveauctioneer about no response. That prompted a response from Jared at Cabin Fever. He said "For future, it would be nice for you to not lodge a complaint with LiveAuctioneers without proper facts. I got an email this morning that you told them I would not respond. I have been responsive with messages and gave you proper contact information. There have been delays with holidays and I do apologize but I have not been ignoring you. Thanks! Jared Liveauctioneer forwarded his response from him in which Jared said I" was lying . I spoke nothing but truth. Very poor communication and even worse customer skills. By way-I paid my invoice 12/11/19 and received my 15 coins today-01/09/2020. Never again!

facts above also inaccurate again. First off, no emails were sent, only messages in LiveAuctioneers system. Yes-you sent a message Dec 11th asking about shipping. You obviously did not read terms for auction that state all items go to shipping within 5 business days AFTER payments. I relied stating yes they would be delivered once paid and they were. holidays had shipper more backed up than expected and I was unaware until between holidays. SO Dec 17th you sent a message saying you hadn't heard from shipper 6 days (not 5 business days) later. This message was not seen until your next message Dec 31 when there was a message from Dec 17, and 29th (not 27th). I responded promptly 31st when back in office with: "Tim, UPS store was having an issue with coin postage but they have had coins. Please give them a call at 610-385-3500. Thanks. Jared" You then replied Jan 3rd with a "Thank You" AND I received a complaint that same day. You had our phone numbers and email available for discussion as well. As we have experienced in other cases, LiveAuctioneers communications are not most clear or prompt. Sorry you feel way you do but shipping problem was out of my control and I as not aware until 31st when I gave you their information to contact. I can only handle issues I am aware of. Michael, Sorry for you shipping experience but those cost are what they are and are out of my control. The cost of an item has nothing to do with the cost to ship. Yes the shipping companies charge for packaging but I honestly would have to charge a lot MORE in house if I chose to handle shipping. The shipping costs are something everyone will have to have a better handle on. Nothing is getting cheaper and if you want quality packing and coverage it costs. Thanks! Jared

ITEMS MISREPRESENTED
I HAD BEEN A CUSTOMER OF THEIRS WHEN I LIVED IN PA, I AM IN CALIFORNIA NOW SO BOUGHT ONLINE. SO CALLED UNOPENED ITEMS I PURCHASED HAD PLAY WEAR AND OR THE WINDING MECHANISM WAS BROKEN. PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE ITEMS I CONTACTED THE OWNER JARED VIA EMAIL REQUESTING THE SHIPPER'S NAME SO I COULD CONTACT THEM. USING THE WORDS PLEASE AND THANK YOU. HE COMPLAINED TO ME THAT THE USE OF CAPS WAS OFFENSIVE. I MISREPRESENTING TOYS IS OKAY. I SPEND A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY ON AUCTION ZIP AND LIVE AUCTIONEERS. DONT BE SURPRISED IF YOU ARE DISAPPOINTED, OH AND ALL THE ITEMS BOXES ETC WREAKED OF MOLD.

I would be interested to see the play wear on items listed as unopened but it would be hard to confirm anything now that these have left our hands. Many of these Marx tractors came from untouched case lots and I find it hard to believe. Not impossible, but quite hard to believe. Most boxes were not opened as they were never messed with from factory and we preferred not to damage the old cardboard, but these were sold as is. Some items may have had some musty smells as it was an old collection. As was told to many people asking about mechanisms, we do not test any of these as they were cheap toys when they were new. Everything was sold as is. Winding all items would not ensure if it worked for us that it would work for you when received either. And at that, there were no questions asked about the items prior to bidding. As for the CAPS-what I wrote was-"It's really nice if you not use capitals for all writing. It's generally regarded as" yelling "on screen and is harder to read. Thanks." I have a harder time reading all caps and many people feel it is between rude and taken as yelling to write in this manner. I don't feel I was being harsh about it. Beware of shipping charges!
They use outside shipping service. Outrageous shipping charges! I'll never buy from them again!

Another instance of unrealistic expectations of shipping costs. We use outside shipping companies because it would cost you even more for it to be done in house. Costs do vary between third part shipping companies for the packing costs but these are not in our control. Hardly seems reasonable leaving us a poor review when we were not even contacted about the costs until after it was shipped leaving no room for an discussion to see if there was something that could be done to reduce the cost. Sorry about your experience and Good luck with future purchases as the shipping costs are doing nothing but rising. Thanks!

Shipping cost was high compared to other similar auctions.
Packaging was great, everything arrived in good condition. One item was lost prior to shipping but I was quickly refunded. Customer service was great. Will bid on their auctions again (I already did).

Shipping is what it is. We have no control over the shipping other than we prefer to use UPS Store as their packing, while maybe more than just any person packing, is guaranteed that you'll get it in the condition it was packed. The terms are perfectly clear that we use third party shippers and there is an ever rising cost to shipping ANYTHING these days, small or large. Thanks!
