They forgot to deliver my item for 38 days, then after inquiry, I had to pay an additional expedited delivery cost upon arrival. The coin differed from the one in the image, and is of lesser quality.

1 item was estimated 4 times over its value. I ended up paying almost 3 times the market price. I mentioned that to the Auction House, and they said that they can do nothing about it. Original invoice was in US dollars. After paying it, I received a note that it should have been euros. About 450 dollars more + bank fees. No apologies from the auction house.

LGN is a serious house, with the respectable tradition, that offers truly remarkable Orders. I purchased many items from them in the past few years. This evaluation is however given only for one particular purchase. Below you can find a summary of my overall previous experiences with LGN. Starting from the most essential-I always received the items I purchased. The items are sent from Vienna via FedEx. Although the buyer pays the insurance for the full value of the parcel, the declared value on the shipment is much lower. This can be an issue if the shipment is damaged or lost in the transport. LGN claims that the shipments are insured to the full value, and the false declaration prevent FedEx employees of stealing them!? Auctions last long, due to the large number of items and 1 €starting prices. During the auction, LGN is placing fake bids to insure that the items are not sold below the minimal price. This is sometimes frustrating. As a consequence, you can find same objects over and over again in several of their auctions in a row, although they are “sold” every time. Items photos are fairly good but the descriptions sometimes contain errors. E. g. I recently purchase a Star of the St. Sava Order described as a first class insignia and what I received was without any doubt a second class Star. Of course, everyone makes mistakes, but the LGN never replied to my question how can we resolve this issue. So, I ended up with the overpaid second class Star, and I lost trust in a fairness of LGN and will to correct their mistakes in the future. In conclusion, LGN is in many segments, professional house and in some other, such are fairness and transparency of the bidding process or ability to offer constructive solution in conflict situations – there is still a lot of room for improvement and opportunity for LGN to evolve. I hope my criticism is helpful and constructive and that it will reach right audience. Thank you for your time.
