Great auction experience
I had a problem with another 3rd party shipper at C-Mas time and the Nye staff and their in-house shipper really stepped up for me; responsive, professional and... just nice people. I've been buying/selling for 30 + years and this is the best auction house experience I've ever had.

Scrupulously honest and accurate, too bad that we have to bid at LiveAuctioneers to win
Nye is one of the few auctioneers that can be trusted regarding descriptions of merchandise. Their descriptions of whether something is period or a reproduction are unfailingly accurate. One thing I am not fond of is their "2-Step" auctions. Once getting through the Nye bid, then you also have to win at Liveauctioneers-which is a terrible auction house. They don't keep track of bids, make mistakes and sell a large proportion of merchandise to others, that bid the same amount, AFTER my bid was accepted. A client should not have to "walk a gauntlet" to win an auction. Any other auctioneer besides LiveAuctioneers would probably make the Nye auction buying process less of a trial.
