One of the rarer Ansonia figural clocks and although with a few imperfections (thoroughly disclosed in lot description), she is ticking and keeping time right out of the box and will be a joy to cosmetically restore. I'm a repeat buyer from this auction house and will continue to be!

I love the items I buy from Crescent City Auction Gallery. I live in Houston and items arrive quickly and in the best of condition.

Owner is very disreputable. He has a great staff member (Sean) but the owner is not a serious business person. I have NEVER left a bad review, ever, in my many years on LA, and after many hundreds of thousands of purchases. My purchase here was underweight (not a big deal) and when I shared my concern, I was told (in writing) to return for a refund. When I paid to ship it, the owner reneged (poor Sean had to tell me) and made me pay to ship it back (for a third time). Lesson learned.

I have purchased from Crescent City for nearly 10 years and on 5-10 occasions. The item I most recently purchased was described as "Small pinhole sized firing flaws and wear to glaze along upper rim. Otherwise there is nothing to report. This is a charming example." There was in fact a hairline crack to the porcelain and they suggested that since it is noticeable in one of the 13 pictures that it is part of the condition report. Why would someone bother posting a condition report specifically stating that "otherwise there is nothing to report"? It really comes off as being intentionally misleading. Who realistically can spend 5 minutes looking with eagle eyes at 13 pictures to search for condition issues that the auction house specifically states does not exist? There are a hundred reputable auctions in the US that stand behind the condition reports and items that they sell. Bid with one of them and ovoid Crescent Auctions as I certainly will.

I can't believe a professional auction house would put their auction number sticker right on top of gold gilded frame. The sticker is completely stuck and I can't remove it without damaging the gold finish. Reached out to auction house and all they said the frame was not part of the value, then why did you list the frame size on your page? Very disappointed and what a cop out.

These counter stools were severely damaged at pick-up — with the brass ribbon detail broken off one stool. The item was described in listing as “barstool” but they’re actually a counter stool seat height. I contacted the auction house on several occasions and they will not respond. Buyers beware. And if you do decide to purchase here, request detailed condition reports.

Nothing about the company but UPS delivered the item broken and in need of repair. I enjoy little projects so its no big deal and I did not report it to Cresent nor do I hold them responsible.

Without the weight of the sculpture, shipper's quotes are often a "guess". Sellers should provide the weight of Sculpture when listing.
