Responsive to phone calls and inquiries right up until day of auction. Won 2 items, paid immediately and then completely ghosted. No response to emails via Liveauctioneers messaging, direct emails, messages thru Facebook page, and no answer on phone lines for a FULL SEVEN WEEKS, then phone line was disconnected! Arranged 3rd party shipping who attempted pickup 5 times and no one was ever at location. Had to contact the local sheriff's office in Iowa where they are located, only to learn they had 22 open complaints against them! This was hands down the WORST experience I've ever encountered in decades of auction buys. Eventually got direct contact info from a fellow member of the NAWCC and finally got a begrudgingly and apparently annoyed call from the owner himself only to get excuses of "had been sick" to "closing and relocating." How about you communicate this to your buyers and rethink doing this in the middle of a huge auction and focus on completing transactions? I seriously thought these people had just taken $2000 of my hard-earned money and headed for the hills with it, and Liveauctioneers was NO HELP giving me the runaround that they were "just a 3rd party payment platform" and could not issue a refund "without the express permission of the auction house," yet THEY were unable to reach them, either. I did eventually get my 2 clocks, over 2 months after winning them, and both need extensive restoration. Not at all what was expected for the prices paid. AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU'RE GOING TO BE AT THEIR LIVE AUCTION AND CAN PHYSICALLY SEE WHAT YOU'RE BUYING AND WALKING OUT THE DOOR WITH YOUR WINS WHEN IT'S OVER.

Bought a watch that a client had been looking for only to be told days later that they had sold the watch to someone else (sounded like it had been sold to an employee but I can't say for sure). This "mix up" cost me almost $800 dollars and the trust of a valued customer.

I purchased two vintage pocket watches through Tom Harris Auctions. There was a problem with one of the watches during shipping, but Tiffany immediately addressed and solved the issue. I am a watch collector, and deal with many different auction houses. Tom Harris Auctions is easy to work with and is definitely a class act!

I purchased 3 pocket watches, my credit card was charged but I waited a month then I stared trying to reach someone at the auction house. Another 3 weeks have gone by, no pocket watches and no reply from the auction house

These folks were great... in spite of having staff not show up to ship items, the remaining staff did double-duty to inventory, package and ship items. Thanks, and have a safe Christmas!

The $50 clock cost me $75 to ship to me. They kept the movement inside the shipped clock and the screws gave way, the movement broke free from the case. I had to put it back together. So it goes....

nothing to say more than payment of the material on August 28 and shipment on October 8, much too long!!

Awesome auction house if you buy watches none better. Auction thru shipping goes smooth. Plenty info & they care you understand & are satisfied with what you buy. Rare for an auction house. 👍

I won/purchased two pocket watch holders. They were shipped in a huge box that they apparently ship large wall clocks in. The UPS charges were very high ($64). Also stuck with a huge amount of packing peanuts that will go into a landfill since they can't be recycled. Their buyer's premium is too high. All in all a bad deal for me. It will, however, be my last deal with them.

Items were carefully packed and arrived in good order. Shipping was not cheap, but reasonable, considering the weight of the items.

Won one lot with Tom Harris Auctions. The items were very well packaged. Unfortunately the items were shipped in two parcels which created very substantial shipping costs. Tiffany at the auction house became aware of the situation & issued me a goodwill adjustment to rectify the situation. Very glad to find a business that cares about their customer & does what is necessary to correct customers concern. Will try to do business again.
