I won 6 lots in the auction. After payment via WeiChat, the shipper contacted me and said five items were missing. He only sent out one. I contacted the seller viaLiveauctioneers.com twice and never got response. Can't trust them.

What a bunch of con artists! I received an invoice and spoke with them by phone to pay. After that, I was unable to reach them by phone or email. When I decided, after 3 weeks of silence, to drive to their location to pick up my item without an appointment, I discovered they weren't at their given address! Did they move or are they operating a scam and never were there?

Not satisfied swift shipper which they recommend to me. shipping fee expensive but not professional service, they mailed my item by postal office not UPS, and when I picked it up and paid more money, the postal clerk told me that shipper normally use UPS, and if that I would save money.

I purchased two items. One was shipped on time and in good condition. The other item was lost at the auction house and I have received a refund even though I have contacted them multiple times via phone and email. I would never bid on anything again.

The Lot was misrepresented. The Lot describes six albums of stamps. The albums contained no stamps. There was only a small binder of stamps that are unrelated to the stamp albums and not worth the price paid. I will not participate in any of their auctions again.

Good auction house. Shipping fee is a steep, but item was packed and shipped fairly quickly.

Always check the reviews before bidding. I had to learn the hard way. Their in-house shipper is a scam artist at best. I would never trust these people again. Tried to charge $80 to send a small frame. When I balked I was told they made a mistake and now it was reduced to $50. I told them to keep the frame, what a joke.

I followed this item through three planned auctions by Essex. Each one was cancelled, mostly with no notice. It just disappeared from the internet. Finally, Essex responded to my email and said it would be in the March auction. I placed a bid of $300 and planned to watch the auction. Auction was very slow. I watched for nearly 4 hours. I went to kitchen to make a cup of tea, since I estimated my lot would not come up for at least 2 hours. When I returned 15 minutes later, auction was over! Apparently, Essex had skipped at least 100 lots. However, I received a notice later that I had won the item I wanted at my $300 bid. I paid promptly, and have just received the item. It is exactly as described and was well packed. I will continue to follow Essex since they occasionally have an item I want. But they are somewhat unreliable.

I won 16 items. Paid via wire transfer. The auction house has not responded to inquiry about shipping. It has been over two months and the only email I recieved was an invoice marked unpaid. The items are now marked as paid but no one has returned phone calls or emails about shipping. Live Auctioneers is trying to resolve and have yet to hear from Benjamin at Essex. Take a look at the number of one star reviews. Almost half. k

They got another name Altair, because the name is too bad. And everyone know about it, so they changed the name. They sell the fake ones and charge you whole amount but don't ship the items to you. They still owe me money, and the Chinese owner told me his father passed away and he is in China, but he is still selling his fake items on the website.

After multiple emails and calls, still shipper has yet to return my call so I can provide my cc information. It should not be this difficult to give someone money.

I never received my item. Never even got a response from Essex despite several attempts. I contacted LiveAuctioneers for help but they provided no support, took no responsibility, nor provided an explanation of why Essex is allowed to hold auctions on their site.

The title says it all. I won item # 1 (link below) for $5 from "Essex Auction and Estate Sales" on 5/28/19. I had to make payment via check (no paypal). Their "third party shipper" (who also had to take a check), AND HAS THE SAME ADDRESS as Essex, informed me the auction house "lost my item". No refund from the shipper. No refund form the Essex. And than, miraculously, Essex's "sister" auction house, "Norwood Gallery" lists MY ITEM (item # 2 below) in their 9/5/19 auction. I contacted them, they ignored me. Filed a complaint with Live Auctioneers, Essex ignored them. They could have tried to hide the fact it was the same item. Completely dishonest. Bid at your own risk. This company is no longer in business. Transaction was not completed.

Very professional. In-house Packing service did a GREAT job! Would bid again with them.

Two months after I won and paid for this item, it still has not been shipped to me. I have called you multiple times about this. I have also called the shipper's number you gave me. The last 2 times I called I was told someone would call me back, but that has never happened.

They are trying to take me for a ride on shipping and I was told it should not be that much. They don’t tell you what actual shipping is going to be and what their packer is charging. How many boxes

I requested an Invoice, twice and I never received it. Their correspondence was curt and rude.

I have sent multiple emails and have not received a shipping quote.

I calling to make the payment for the last 3 weecks, the metod of payment is by phone.. they ever answer my call. After I leave 4 voicemails, the never return my call. I whant my pictures ASAP, I win the bit, Leonardo **********

Every time I sent them my payment information, they don’t check emails but keep sending me bill. It happened twice and this time I already emailed them three times of my credit card information

Bought Item Dec 28th. Have tried calling-no one ever answers. They say to email but I refuse to send credit card number and details. No call back in spite of assurance that they will reply in 2 hours. Furious with lack of service. They should be banned from Live auction site. Robert M. ********************

No follow through or dialogue regarding shipping. It’s been months and still awaiting my purchased items.

Auction houses once they sale an antique item they no longer provide any help. many times they do not even provide clear and true Information. one month I purchase a Chinese porcelain painting that was suppose to be antique, to my surprise when I received the painting to my surprise it was new damage, when I call to report the problem they didn't offer any help of whatsoever.

The starting bid was $20.00.... My bid $100.00... that was it!!!! Should i have won it at the starting bid since there was no other outbidding?

Since the day I received the invoice I have written many times and not a single response. I have written to live auctioneer staff who have written on my behalf also, no response, however, they open a dispute against me and it is they who do not communicate. Not a pleasant experience and I hope the live auctioneers staff manage to make head way on my behalf... strange thing is, they keep sending me emails about upcoming auctions.... POOR!

Last time shipping was slow and expensive. I just bought another item and haven't yet heard from the shipping company.

I found them to be overall very helpful. The gal Jayne in the office is just a peach. They must be busy they sell a lot.

Till today, Essex was not able to confirm my wire Transfer, which was done 16 days ago. Copies of the wire were send to Essex and to Liveauctioneers, who both were not able to help me till today. I don't know if everyone is incompetent in this Company or whether they try to cheat an intercontinental customer. Never, never again!!

Description not as accurate as other houses and pictures taken are correct but require close examination. Delay and poor communication re shipping. Good packaging when shipping. May not look at their items again

Pictures did not show the item even remotely accurately. The written description was also inaccurate. Payment and shipping could be vastly facilitated if all auctioneers were required to use PayPal.

I have ask for what method of payment do they want from me several times but I have not recd a single reply

The auction ended on 06/29/2016 and I sent the money with a wirw transfer on 07/03/2016. I received two emails in which they said no payment was sent and I replied with thw attachment of the payment sent. Till today no more email to let me know thw shipping charges which I requested to know. Very bad communication. I will do never again business with them.
