One recommended shipper was lower but still overpriced the rest were outrageously overpriced. Maybe the two types of businesses aren't connected, but the shipping makes the auction house extremely objectionable, especially since the lot was badly described.

Beware! Myers Auctions described a cameo pendant as being in good condition when their photos show it is damaged. When questioned they admit to misrepresenting the item but still demand that the sale be completed. This is fraudulent. Myers Auctions should be dropped from Liveauctioneers. They bring the site, and other, honest auction houses into disrepute with their dishonest trading practices.

Myers Auction released my item to their favored shipper without my permission. I feel that I was overcharged by the shipper, but I had no choice but to pay to receive my item. I send Myer Auction an email with my concerns and received no reply. I will not bid with them again. The item itself was fine, and their description and photos were adequate.

Live Auctioneers made a mistake. They awarded me 3 lots. Later LA said I didn't win one of the lots. The house contacted the other bidder and asked how to proceed. The other bidder also allowed me to keep the lot. The Auction house fixed the problem so everything is good. Michael

Regarding lot # 126: item is not a watercolor, but probably a lithographed note card, lithograph ink being completely different from water based pigments. Item was bent during shipment. In the future you want to consider securing the opinion of experts in the field of works on paper. Thomas .
