One of the things I love about TCA is that the measurements of the items are always precise and accurate. I really like the convenience of being able to buy online, but I also enjoy Mr. Glynn's sense of humor when I attend in person.:) The prices are generally very good, although the 25 % buyer's premium (it might be 20 % for in-person bidders, IDK) is a little steep. For people picking up your purchase, do call first, as sometimes helpers aren't in the main building. Mr. Glynn is very helpful in that regard-he provides his cell phone # on the voicemail message.

If you go in person, be prepared for a little bit of stand-up conservative comedy. It's a fun and funny evening. If you bid online, do be aware of the "internet lag" and get your bids in early and often. Quality items-honest, accurate descriptions-Turkey Creek is an auction house you can count on.

Over the past decade or so, I have purchased many exceptional early 18th & 19th c antiques from Turkey Creek Auctions. Those purchases were through this platform as well as live at his spacious, clean auction house. Dave is considered one of the most knowledgeable auctioneers and appraisers in Florida, particularly with respect to early American antiques. He also has frequent access to exceptional pieces. In the past, I have consigned items with Dave, as well. I find him to be an incredibly honest and helpful person. He is also very funny and entertaining during a live auction! His staff is great. And his word is gold! 5 Star Auction House & Auctioneer!

The company spokesperson was very rude. Refused to answer shipping questions. I purchased the item anyway thinking it wouldn't be to bad. The third party shipper contacted me for payment. I asked how much it would cost he told me. I asked if i was being charged a handling fee and he lied and made excuses. He immediately said we ship usps. I told him that is not what i asked do you charge a handling fee. He said we charge for the box. I had to ask again do you charge a separate fee for doing the work of packing and taking the item. He refused to answer and said they ship usps. Garbage liar. I do not have an issue with being charged for work. I have an issue with liars and seedy salesman. The auction company refused to respond or discuss the issue since I had already paid. They spoke over me and refused to communicate saying that it was a third party shipper. I told them exactly what he said they are aware of the situation.
