During live bidding, my high bid was RETRACTED which Peter explained was a "clerking error". The item then closed immediately and I lost the item I wanted most. Through all the communication, no real explanation was given to me. The last message received was, "I am sorry we show that while the bid retraction was in error it sold for 650 to another bidder. The bid was corrected but shows you were not the high bidder. Let me dig into deeper." Their overall bid monitoring is not proper and obviously if you think you are winning, you may not be in the end. There also was a very long hairline crack in one of the vases that I did win that wasn't mentioned in the description or shown in the pictures. I understand there are a lot of items for the auction house to review when posting for bid, but this was very evident to me and should have been to them as well. Bidders Beware. I will not bid with this auction house again.

I had an issue with this purchase which was resolved by the owner fairly quickly. I appreciate their help. Issues happen it is how they are resolved that makes the difference.

I recommend Belhorn Auctions. My pottery Items were high quality and service was excellent. Bidding was easy and the items were described accurately. I picked my items up at their shipping warehouse whose staff provided good service. Shipping was more expensive than expected so I opted to pickup my items. Invoice was clear and accurate. Pottery was well packaged and handled with care. Staff was professional and friendly.
