I bought a red coral ring, but I received a red plastic ring. I sent an email to auction house and called them for this problem, but no response.

Very easy to deal with and prompt delivery of items won at auction.

Hi dear Capitoline Auction, I wanted to say thank you for sending to me carefully the bronze vase. I much appreciated it. But it is a very severeness bronze, wow... But you do not made pics from the angles where the bronze is not so nice.. And I did never ecxpected such a wheight, why did you not added the wheight to your description, if I may ask? Ok, I guess this was everything that I wanted to write you. I wish you and the whole team now all the very best and I hope to again soon buy something from you, would be a pleasure. This auction plays game with you and they are careless. Delayed. Not reposting. Not feeling responsible. Invoice is not accurate and working properly. a lot of problems.

I purchased two lots in the 9/1/18 auction. Two weeks after paying for both, I find through my own investigation, not their communication, regarding my second lot, # 0413, "We had forgotten that it was previously sold and listed the item by mistake... it was sold in previous auctions through post sale offers, which does not follow our standard procedures to remove a sold item from our inventory system". Ben's previous explanation two days earlier: "It must have been lost during the after sale craziness." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

I sent 3 emails requesting tracking of my purchase. From the date of purchase to the day I finally received my item was three weeks. I have purchased items from the U. K. And had received those items in half that time. I do not feel that Capitalline Auction cares about customer satisfaction and is for that reason that I will NOT purchase from them again NOR will I recommend to my friends or my boss who is an interior designer. Capital Line Auction so called customer service STINKS!

I have always had a positive experience with live auctioneer until Capitoline auction. I will never bid another auction. One he was rude when I called 5 days after I paid by credit card and had not received any tracking info. The packing place did not have my item. After numerous calls to the packing place I find out they did not have my item. I emailed owner of packing place she forwarded my email to Capitoline. My item was not shipped until 14 days after I paid by card. On one occasion the man who answered at the auction house asked me if I had paid yet? My item has finally arrived. I feel like there is some funny business going on. Will never bid or buy with them again.

Even I paid actually I don't like my item because it's a mistake. When I click button of "OK" then suddenly the bid button showed up so I actually click the bid button accidentally. This app doesn't give customers time to respond or look between "passing registration" and "pending registration". But anyway I paid and asked the owner if he can resell them. He said yes. So I let him keep them so far it has been one month. He didn't tell me what he is going to do. I m still waiting.

This auction house and their preferred shipper does not respond promptly to emails. Multiple emails were required to generate responses. Items took a month to receive (I did tell them that I was not in a rush, but did not expect a full month). An unsold item purchased after the auction was misplaced. Refund was issued. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this auction house.

My biggest problem with this auction house was their unprofessionalism. They were hard to get in touch with. When trying to make a payment I had to leave several voicemails and they never returned calls. When I finally got them on the phone they had trouble finding my paperwork. When asked when they would ship I was told "sometime next week." After a couple of weeks of not hearing from them I had to make several calls to get shipping information and leave several voicemails. On the last voicemail I said, "don't you guys ever answer your phone?" And an hour later they returned my call. The shipper was good though. Once I got in touch with her everything went smoothly.

Buyers premium was excessive.

Buyers Premium was excessive, almost to the point that I'm not sure if I would be doing that again. The item I won was very costly and when the buyers premium was added, it made the great deal not so great.

The owner or man working there when we contacted him was very unhelpful twice, it felt like we were bothering him.
