Very bad experience
Very bad experience with this auction house which blindly recommends a carrier who charges VERY expensive services.....

Dear Sir i am sorry you feel this way. we do not blindly recommend this carrier, we work with them for many years. We also clearly do recommend to get a shipping quote before bidding. furthermore, like everything else, packing and shipping is way more expensive in Switzerland than the rest of Europe. They do not think that they they should help clients, or even answer their requests
Under French regulation, when you import an antique, you can benefit from taxes reduced 4x. The condition is that the package has to come with a document stating that the object is more than 100 years old. I asked Schuler and YSDS their shipping partner for this document, and even provided an example from a previous acquisition from them. However, they did not join the document. With the package blocked with customs, I made a new request, and did not even get an answer. So I had to pay 150 €extra-taxes. I suppose they do not need to keep their clients...

Their shipping feels like a scam.
Their shipping "partner" quoted me $400 to ship a small vase to the U. S., then later another person at the same company quoted me $195 for the same item, then failed to explain the discrepancy. Payment goes straight to Schuler Auktionen, so they're probably getting a cut. If you must buy from this place, make sure you can use your own shipping company.

Dear Sir Shipping from Switzerland is more expensive than from most other countries in the world. It was a mistake by the shipping company to quote you two different prices, no question. This was caused by the high volume of shipments during auction season no doubt and we responded quickly and resolved the problem so you got your item for the lower quote. if you leave a review, please include all information. never again! abusiv shipping
a shame that a auctioneer don't tell before that the shippingcosts are way to high! abusiv …. for a parcel weight 1, 00kg shipping in the nearby country they charge a GOLD price off 270, 00euro! never, never again with this house again, its out proportion, not possible that they may continued like this

Overall positive experience, there was an issue with the sihpment, which led me to waste several days, but it was mainly due to the Italian shipping company than to the auctioneer, who responded politely to my queries. Would buy again.

During the auction A151 I was notified that I won the lot 6992. Bit I did not receive it. Apparently someone else got it. Either Liveauctionners nor Schuler could explain me what went wrong. Apparently a mistake of Liveauctionners.

Auction house did not offer any option for shipping and basically forced me to use their in house shipping service. I felt the cost was excessive and because of that I would hesitate to bid with them again.
