I paid but never was able to get my items.
Terrible experience. At first, they were very nice. However, after paying for the five items I purchased, I have never been able to get them to let me have someone pick up the items. After 2 years I still can't get them to answer my phone calls or emails. I just want the items or my money back.

Bidders beware. You may never receive your won item (s) even you have won and paid for them. One of my worst online auction experiences. I would give Chandler negative stars if I could.

shipping is a ripoff
never received items as they wanted $30 to ship 3 common license plates. They could easily place them in a Priority Mail Legal size letter envelope with cardboard and ship for less them $10. I also have a UPS account and they could just charge me for packing and ship under my account. Not worth shipping for $30 plates that are worth $10.

The use of "STYLE" is a common practice in auction descriptions by thousands of auctions. A search result for "Swarovski Style Crystal" in price results on Live Auctioneers returned 135 PAGES of lots which have all used this wording. That's over 3000 lots which have this exact working on just a price results search on this one particular site. We listed a "Swarovski Style Crystal 7" Elephat "which you won for $20. As we have already explained, lots of authentic Swarovski would sell for quadruple amounts for even a miniature elephant. The rating does not refelct the auction practice. It is a result of lack of auction knowledge and experience of the bidder in terminology in the auction industry.

Worst Auction Experience
I frequently buy both at live and online auctions. I won items 9/3 which have still not been delivered. I was prompt with payment, prompt in putting my request in with the shipper and providing a paid invoice. I waited three weeks, then four. Then when I was going out of town contacted the shipper to ask if my items had been dropped with him. He angrily shouted “Is there a PROBLEM?” Apparently the items had not yet been dropped. I called several more times, only to get no answer from the auction house or the shipper or to be told by the auctioneer that he was “not in the office”. During another call to the auction house, desperate for info, I relayed my experience with the shipper to the auction house, only to be met with absolute denial and claims I must not have called the right place and no offer to check in on things. Just an empty promise to “call back when he was onsite”. Didn’t happen. Zero proof or documentation of drop off, no tracking info. No calls back; it’s always me reaching out. Today, the auction house claimed I’ve been the only customer EVER to report issues with their preferred shipper but that’s clearly not the case. I’ve been dismissed and promised calls back far too many times by both the auction house and shipper. Called again today just to be called “childish” and “combative” because I’m still looking for my items eight weeks later. Totally unacceptable, unreasonable and unprofessional. In reviewing my documents, I also realized that my paid invoice does not match the amount charged to my credit card-they put through a higher amount than shown on my invoice, even after tax and premium. Worst auction experience of all time. If anyone is worse, it’s the “preferred” shipper. Given even the SLIGHTEST hint of professionalism, the auction house should have been far more than happy to provide info when asked and/or assist in confirming exactly where paid-for items were. I still don’t know, because there’s not even any documentation of handoff.

Garbage Auction House
the guy wants to get his payment within 3 days, but feels shipping your items 30 + days later is fine. this, in a nutshell, describes what the attitude of this auction house is. for the record, as i write this review, on 10/22/2020, i still have not received any of the items i won from the 9/27/2020 auction. try calling the number listed and you get a recording saying his voicemail is full. will not return any emails. the 3rd party shipping you are forced to use, "Logan at UPS Store" sucks just as bad, if not worse.

Inaccurate listing
Bought a set of coins based on the listing of silver $1 coin and $5 gold coin. The actual set was a simple proof set $1 and $0.50 Gold plated coin. I realized what I was actually bidding on before the lot came up and attempted to contact the auctioneer without reply. When I questioned this I was basically told it was my problem and he dented any responsibility for the misleading listing or failure to respond to my attempts to pull my bid.

Per photos and description a very deceptive sale
Bought a carved wooden native head and picked up only to find a piece of the crown broken off. Girl said sale per pictures and description. If you look at multiple pics they provided you cannot discern the damage. And in description it is stated to be in very good condition with no mention of major damage. I messaged them through Live Auctioneers and never heard back. Very disappointed with this sale and service. Buyer BEWARE!

years of dealing with this auction company with no disappointments
I have dealt with many auction houses, but Chandler's International has been the most consistent in policies, communication, and insightful information. Many of us find we must rely on our auctioneers for these traits as online auctions become the norm. Chandler's is worthy of this trust.

Items Meh, Shipping Glacial
The lot I won was described as "Mid-Century Fine Pottery Grouping," but only one piece of four was above thrift-store level quality. The lot went for $20 so I can't complain too much about that. I won the lot on 7/7, paid on 7/8 and asked their recommended shipper (UPS Store # 2078) to ship. After several days with no action I started calling. The store phone went to voicemail, the one time I got a person (Logan) his answer was in essence, "We'll get to it when we get to it." As the delay wore on I called Chandler's, only to hear "The voicemail is full." I didn't receive the items until July 30. All around not a great experience.
