There are so many 'good' fakes out there these days one always worries when bidding on a 'Rolex'. Is it a real one or a 'reproduction'. Especially when the listing does NOT state guaranteed authentic. $26, 000 is a lot to risk. In this case no disappointment. As advertised.

I would absolutely bid on other items. Dealing with the auction house was stress free from the purchase to the delivery. When I called them they answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable on the process.

So refreshing to deal with GWS. From detailed descriptions of item to ease of payment to shipping — they do it all seamlessly! Top notch!

Four areas of concern. 1/Poor communication. Even simple questions like 'does it have a case/"went unanswered. 2/expensive/poor shipping. They charged 3X what it would have cost to ship FedEx overnight. Built a wood case for it but included no packing material. The guitar was rattling around in this wooded box. 3/Poor documentation. Was promised a LOA from Warner bros. Got a short, signed authorized note that says the guitar was gifted by Warner Bros. Plus a receipt from a music store for a couple of Breedlove guitars that had nothing to do with my purchase. 4/The guitar is a train wreck. many undisclosed issues. replaced bridge plate-a huge it on value, many cracks. Plus all the checking was buffed out (kiss of death for a vintage instrument). Cracks filled with the buffing compound. Possibly their intentions were good and they know nothing about vintage instruments. Whatever the reason, buyer beware of this auction house. Very displeased.

Win an item for $400 and they charge $400 for shipping. Not a huge item, doesn't come in a wood crate, $400 shipping for a cardboard box.. Frame had scuffs and scratches which weren't seen in the auction photos but didn't happen during shipping.

All good.
