BOUGHT FEW ITEMS, DIDN'T RECEIVE AND WENT OUT OF BUSINESS.

It sent spam emails like a bot without responding to my messages. Shipping was so slow. It took about 2 months to close the deal.

The two auction lots I won were beautiful and a great deal! I'm very happy with my items. There were some communication issues because of complications with the LiveAuctioneers payment platform, but it seems like it was worked out. I recommend persistent communication if you have any issues/questions. Otherwise very professional.

a welcoming auction

I. M. Chait is one of a few auction houses wher you can actually pick up your purchase and save those unnecessary shipping charges if you live locally. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! They also answer the phone unlike many auction houses. I highly recommend and will definitely use I. M. Chait auction house again!

nice paintings and good transaction

When I won an item at auction, I requested in-house shipping, which was convenient. A few weeks passed without any notice from the auction house. When I contacted them, they said the lot was temporarily missing but they would try to locate it, and if not, issue a refund. A few more weeks passed. I tried reaching back out to them over phone and email, but they never answered the messages and were ignoring me. I was forced to file a claim with my card company as a fraudulent charge, which was luckily accepted, and I recovered the payment. I never heard back from them, and I can only assume that the lot is gone but they wanted to keep the money I paid them for it.

After I paid the lot I won, the auction house told me they can help me to ship the item for me. After over 3 weeks, I sent at least six emails, and multiple phone calls, no one is helping me with it. They response fast when getting payment, after that it is very difficult to get reply from them.

Wow... the picture of the African mask that I saw online immediately attracted me and I'm soooo glad that I won this auction item. It's absolutely.... positively.... magnificent!!! I requested for the auction house to ship the item to me and they responded right away that she had taken my beautiful mask over to shipping (and boy was she right that it's beautiful!!). When the box arrived I very impressed about the care that taken to pack the item so carefully. Without a doubt I will be participating in another auction with this auction house

I do not know if this was their first foray into the shipping process, but if so, it was a failure as far as I was concerned. I bought a lot for $128 including buyers premium. The shipping costs came to almost twice that amount. I have shipped items like I purchased for several years and could have shipped the same merchandise for less than 1/2 of what I was charged. I was charged for boxes that were not used. Judging by the upcharges for materials used in shipping, one should go into the business of supplying those materials and one could make a very decent living.
