On March 27 I was this successful bidder on (7) 8” Stem glasses in the amount and $60 only to find out that their recommended shippers at both local UPS stores were quoting $190 and $180 respectively to pack & ship these items via ground (no time limit) or the cheapest means of delivery with no insurance required. Repeated contacts with the auction company went unanswered in an effort to get a reasonable shipping quote from another shipper which at the very least, was not outrageous!!! My emails for help were also ignored and I regret purchasing from this auction company, which unlike many other auction companies have dealt with in California, had reasonable shipping rates and were responsive to inquiries. Although these items were paid for immediately upon notice, I had no choice but to relinquish these items As the value of them was approximately $100 and the total cost involved in this transaction was approaching $275. I also approach them about reselling these In my behalf which also went unanswered, so I’m sure they will once again place these items Up for auction once my time period has expired and pocket the proceeds once again. Buyer beware!!!

I have had continuously solid experiences with DGW over a period of four years. I like their auctions because of the diverse selection of gear for sale. You can get a wonderful bicycle or stereo. You can buy rugs and diamonds. Everyone there remembers your name if you come to pick up in person. I am always pleased when I preview.

I make a point of previewing the sale each month. That said, on the sales end, DGW is friendly and competent. When you bid via telephone the calls are prompt and professional. DGW accepts a wide variety of merchandise-there are online bids as well as absentee and phone for the second half of the sales. All around good auction house.

Always have been satisfied with my experiences purchasing at DGW, just be aware of the premium and sales tax that you will be paying in addition to your bid!
