Item description not accurate

Awesome very helpful & super product

This auction house made the entire experience seamless. The purchase was a present and it exceeded my expectations. From the description of the item to the winning and shipping Chamberlain’s Auction Galleries are absolute professionals.

Definitely one of the best auction houses I’ve dealt with! I was provided very quick and accurate service. Additionally the shipping company they recommended was “top shelf” too. I recommend them 100 %!

Numerous calls and emails went unanswered. Finally got American Express involved-and the situation was resolved. But not fun to have the business ignore for over two weeks!

What more could be said, it is all in the headline. Listing was accurate. One suggestion is better photography, the art is better in person. They allowed me to schedule an in-person pickup so could I could have the item in time for a birthday present. This artwork and others in the showroom look better in person. I will likely buy from Chamberlin again when something catches my eye.

Most auction DO NOT CARE the buyer shipping, they team up with shipping company CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS shipping cost, one item cost me 20 % postage of won price. But his auction house give me very fair recommendation.

This was my 1st time buying at an online auction and it was great! Item was exactly as described, received fast and payment was easy. Thank you Chamerlain’s!

Knowing what you got is what you wanted is important. The provenance provided was wrong. I called and talked to the secretary, explaining why what I got was wrong and what I expected. I was told they would call back-that was over one week ago. On my own I spent the time and money, and went to the original gallery that provided the provenacne, explained and showed what was wrong, and they did their best to rectify the situation.

For several years we have enjoyed the many items purchased from Chamberlain's Auction Gallery. We look forward to each month's auction.

I purchased furniture that required being shipped. None of their recommended shippers would deliver to me and they ignored my request for other shipper suggestions. Their lack of communication is of concern.

There is not enough information listed with the item that is up for auction. Need to add more description of each item. Also, if there is NOT a reserve on the item, then there should not be a beginning required bid. Most auction houses let the beginning bid be that which the person starting the auction is interested in paying. Shipping costs were outrageous, so had a relative pick them up ($186 for 3 items to be shipped). They need to find a less expensive shipper.

They need better, more accurate description. Their system does not seem to work well.

As with many of the auctioneers, the fees that the shipping companies charge are on the high side. Sometimes, on the VERY high side. Some of the auctioneers do their own packing/shipping, and those tend to be more reasonable. Perhaps the auctioneers should advertise on their auction listings whether or not they are doing their own packing/shipping, so that potential bidders would know. I have to believe that in 99 % of the cases where the auctioneers are doing their own packing/shipping that the costs are less, which is what the buyers prefer.

It is always good to put the weights on sterling and gold because pictures are sometimes deceiving. The employees are very good and they respond quickly with questions.
