Charges a 25 dollar "processing fee".
Charges a 25 dollar "processing fee" that may be illegal. Note that this is not a fee for using a credit card, it is just a random fee tacked onto the invoice. I complained and was blocked from bidding.

A + to the entire team at Tim's Auctions.
The details and photos accurately described the piece. When we won the piece, the payment was an easy two minute call. The owner gave us shipping options, and asked us if we had any other questions regarding rhe process. The shipping company was very personable and gave us an immediate quote, that we accepted. The shipping was quick and rhe piece arrived in perfect condition. Based on my excellent experience with this auction house, I will be a repeat buyer. Thanks again to the entire team at Tim's for making this entire process to pleasurable.

Dishonest man
I am not a person who typically write anything negative about anyone. Unfortunately I need to write a negative review about Tim's Auction Inc. We've dealt with many antique dealers and have never found one that gave us numerous excuses as to why our package was not being shipped. We finally had to ask for a refund and we are still waiting on that. He told me I had to write him a letter to receive my money back and to this day I am still waiting. The purchase took place back in November 2019. It's now late January of 2020 and I am still waiting. Very dishonest man!

You were given our shipper's information, but you wanted to have it shipped earlier. The auctioneer did his best to get these out, but, as you were informed, there was an ice storm and he was unable to get this to the post office in time. The items are with our shipper, and have been available to be shipped to you at any time. Tim's Inc. does not ship and uses a shipper to ship all their items. The auctioneer tried to do you a favor, but weather stopped this from happening. Our shipper has these items to this day and can be shipped to you at any time.

Now I read reviews before participating in an auction
Overall satisfied with the auction process until I won my item and started to look at the details of receiving my item. Understand the buyers premium okay but was surprised by the 'processing fee' that was added on top for 25 $then, Tim only accepts cash and requires the balance the balance to be paid in 5 days. So, after I paid for a money order for my item I then had to send the payment using Express Mail since I live west of the Adirondacks. So... add another 30 $of fees. Then you get to go the shipping stage which is reasonable but still high. All in all, to receive my 70 $item, total cost worked out to be nearly 200 . Needless to say I won't be dealing with these folks again.

They are thieves
So i won a clock bidding on liveauctioneers, after sending 4 mails asking for help (because i didnt know how to do the payment) the only message i get back is how to do the payment which was via wire transfer, after that i havent heard from them anymore, they havent send the item so now i cannot take my item home and they have my money and my clock. The reason they dont accept card or paypal is because by wire transfer u cannot get your money back if something wrong happens because it hasnt got bank insurance. I tried to contact tims or liveauctioneers but nobody want to take care of my situation so now the only thing i can do is share this information with all of you

Auctioneer did not send item after receiving payment.
I won and paid for a small item from this auctioneer six weeks ago but have not received the item. This auctioneer charges buyers an additional "processing fee" for administration that is added onto a premium, but then apparently never made sure the item I won in an auction was conveyed to the shipper. After several weeks since the auction, I have not received the item. The auctioneer claims it is no longer his responsibility. When I called recently to check on the item, he said he does not know where the item is now and that once a purchase is completed his auction house takes no further responsibility. The auctioneer has not contacted me or followed up to clarify where the item is. After receiving an invoice, I followed all instructions in completing the purchase, including contacting the recommended shipper, but have not received any communications from the auction house or shipper. The auction was over six weeks ago. The shipper does not have the item. I've been buying at auction for 40 years and this is my worst experience with an auctioneer. Be careful.

Never picks up phone
Poor description on items. Call to get a description on diamond ring. Told me he was going to get it checked out and let me know. When he cashed my check he tune changed and was nasty. My friend had the same problem with him to. It takes a month or better to get your items. Customer relations and shipping is a problem with Tim.

Ring was described as a 14kt Gold estate ring. NEVER was a claim made that it was a diamond ring. Ring had clear stones, and bidder wished he nabbed what would have been an over $10, 000 diamond ring for a few hundred dollars. Bidder didn't bother to ask any questions until AFTER the auction and was winning bidder. Ring was sold AS DESCRIBED. AUCTIONEERS BEWARE!

Worst Auction Hidden Fees
Ive been attending auctions for 50 + years, online, on site & auction houses. These people were rude on the phone when I called prior to the auction starting looking for info. They don’t ship their sold items. (why bid if you can’t get your items?) No where is their auction terms did it state they charge processing fees! Processing fee for what? Days After the auction got a bill with a processing fee, which is more than the lot I purchased. Should have viewing the google reviews first, it was a clear warning from many, not to do business with this man, he’s a scam artist! This auctioneer needs to be removed fromLiveAuctioneers.com Before they get sued..

Bidder doesn't read terms, calls and demands pick up of items on his time frame, at his leisure. Hundreds of happy buyers, but there are always those who just can't seem to follow the terms and conditions set by auction houses. AUCTIONEERS BEWARE!

Your survey does not specify which auction house you're referring to. On a side note, my biggest concern with bidding is the propensity for auctioneers to do ghost bidding, especially when you see a "ton" of lots passed at an auction house. That is red flag to bid.... see random bids coming in (from other venues or live) and then when you get no other high online bid.... the lot is passed. I was bidding in one auction-and if you call I will be happy to point which one-and on one item I was bidding on I was the high bidder at 55.00. There was a long delay-I thought I had lost internet connection-and finally when the auction restarted I was then bidding against someone on another site? In my mind, I was thinking they lost an internet connection or something and couldn't bid because the entire auction was flowing and then all of a sudden on a 14k gold watch I am the high bidder with no other bids and a sudden 5 minute or so delay. Needless to say, I am cynical because I have dealt with auctioneers for years and am familiar with the tactics they use to drive up prices. Excessive use of "passing" lots with high bid counts is a red flag in my mind and it should be a red flag in yours.

See # 3 above. In his auction terms it is demanded that the payment be made in five days after the auction or a penalty charge would apply. The invoice was received 5 days after the auction. Not much time. There was a junk handling fee in addition to the buyer premium (I read the terms before but bid anyway and won so I paid anyway, but I just don't think it was "handled"). When I later inquired about when the piece would be delivered I was told it was not in his possession but in an estate an hour away. I think this was misleading to the bidders as the piece was far away and I was told there was another auction to reoffer some things that didn't sell plus other items a week later. I called again and was told that the electricity had gone out, and there was a bad snowstorm. I don't dispute any of those facts however I wonder about the legality of offering an item not in the possession of the auction house. Apparently I was bidding on a "picture" of a clock. The auction was Nov. 26, 2017; I received the item Jan. 16, 2018. (I understand they had a 2more big snowstorms since the auction too, not a problem for me). I just think TIM's Auction should have had possession of the item before putting it up for auction. I talked to TIm on two occasions and he was very responsive in answering my inquires advising me that he just couldn't get tot he item in a timely manner. The shipper contacted me as soon as he received the item for shipping. It was worth the wait for the item but I don't think I'll participate in any of his auctions again

1)   Photos did not show defects in the items 2) Took more than 4 weeks after the auction to pack and send item 3) A further week for the item to be delivered 4) Auction house charged me $20.00 for postage and then delivery person charged me a further $20.00 for postage, all for a small 12 inches by 8 inches by 4 inches parcel.

I worked with the auction company recommended shipper never received a tracking number or shipping notification email. I contacted shipper to find out it was out for delivery on that same day. Shipper did respond to my inquiry in a timely manner Auction company required a shipping information form to print out from their website and return with the payment. Auction company website was not secured site and redirected to another site. I hand wrote shipping information on a piece of paper to mail with money order payment. It was frustrating to follow all demands and deadline for payment no tracking for shipping.

I paid for my item by Cashiers Check over a month ago and I’m still waiting on my products I will be getting an attorney involved if I do not have the items with the next 5 days Because that’s what they give buyers After the auction is finalized I’ve bought several items off this site from other vendors This guy might be a scam!! Buyer beware and I will be contacting the auction site This vendor doesn’t accept any other payment but cashiers check and puts several warnings about extra charges involved if payment is not received I would not advise anyone else buying any product from Tim’s!!!!!
