Yesterday, I received the antique Byzantine Gold Pendant which I had won in last auction. The package arrived quickly. It was a small pendant but the box was huge (filled with layers of wrapping and popcorn). The pendant is beautiful, just like the pictures in the listing. Overall, I am pleased with the pendant and transaction. I have been a collector for close to 20 years, from historical manuscripts to phonographs to French clocks to Asian antiques. Out of the past experiences dealing with multiple auction houses, my honest opinion is that Artemis is top-notched and I would rank it one of the best in the industry. The reasons are as follows: (1) there is a detailed description accompanying which of the listed artifacts and put the specific item in the proper historical context; (2) there is a Condition Report while most auction houses-other than big ones like Christie's or Sotheby's-would only provide scant info; (3) a Certificate of Authenticity. While a COA is not legally binding and you cannot expect too much out from it, it nevertheless demonstrates the auction house does care about its reputation. It is refreshing as many auction houses would emphasize the item is sold "as is", was not authenticated and would not accept liability if it was turned out to be fake (and unfortunately, I had quite a few of those bad experiences buying expensive replicas!); (4) there is an in-house test lab and last but not the least, (5) there is actually someone picks up the phone when you call. You just don't know how many auction houses would post a PO box or home address (when you Google it). When purchasing something that costs thousands of dollars, it is reassuring you are dealing with a real and not fictitious company selling items with questionable provenance. Anyways, I am happy with my purchase and interaction with this auction house. Please keep up the good work! Patrick .

Measurements in description were significantly off. Description stated 26 inches tall, 6 inches wide/diameter, in fact measurements are 14 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide/diameter
