Description
Elva Tewaguna Nampeyo (Hopi, 1926-1985); Fannie Nampeyo (Hopi, 1900-1987). A set of 2 hand-built pottery jars, each by a famous member of the Nampeyo pottery family. The first jar features a black motif on a cream ground and is signed "Fannie Nampeyo" on the base. The larger jar features the inclusion of red pigment in the motifs and around the neck, and is signed "Elva Nampeyo" on the bottom. Size (Elva): 3.74" Diameter x 3.875" H (9.5 cm x 9.8 cm); (Fannie): 3.75" Diameter x 3.1" H (9.5 cm x 7.9 cm)

Condition
Minor chipping and fading to pigment, otherwise both are intact and very good. Great preservation to motifs. Both vessels signed on bases.
