Central America, Maya Territories, Guatemala or El Salvador, Proto-Maya culture, ca. 300 to 100 BCE. A set of 4 hand-carved stone celts, each with a relatively sharp blade edge that was perhaps used for utilitarian purposes or as votive offerings for the dead. Size of largest: 3.16" L x 1.60" W x 0.66" H (8 cm x 4.1 cm x 1.7 cm)
