An excavated ancient Roman gaul clay oil lamp often used by soldiers, as oil was an expensive commodity. Egyptian Frog type with carinated body. Made in plaster mould, decorated with a wide raised circle nozzle top and a raised handle. Circa: 1st to 3rd century A.D. Found in Orange, France. Provenance: Stormbroek Collection Netherlands. Ancient Roman Terracotta and Clay Oil Lamps, Museum Pieces, and Historical Artifacts.
