Description
An early and unusual 18th C. Massachusetts pine one piece canted floor cupboard known as 'pigeon breasted' form, with early iron hinges and pulls. A canted upper cupboard portion with cornice molding, over a paneled door. The straight bottom section with a single drawer above large paneled door, opening to reveal two fixed shelves. 74.25”H x 25.5”W x 17”D. Provenance: Cain Collection, Lillian Cogan ca. 1961.
Condition
Restoration to lower door, later painted surface, and other minor restorations.
