Eiichi Kotozuka Midcentury Japanese Woodblock "Drying Yuzen at Katsura River". Eiichi Kotozuka, one of Japan's premier print artists of the 20th century. This block is the well-known "Drying Yuzen at Katsura River." The woodblock is from the 1940's. It shows three women washing clothes in the Katsura River. It's a really pretty print, with the colorful clothes flapping in the wind. It's a great slice of life piece that shows off some of Kotozuka's best work. Like most of Kotozuka's works, it was published by Uchida and bears the Uchida watermark. The print comes without matting or frame. FINE CONDITION. The overall print size measures approximately 17.625 inches high x 11.5 inches wide. Image measures approximately 15.75 inches high x 10.375 inches wide.
