4x WW1 British Medals, consisting of British War medal ‘F34460 J W TOMLIN A.C. 1 R.N.A.S’, James William Tomlin from Camberwell, London enlisted into the Royal Naval Air Service on 30th July 1917, transferring to the Royal Air Force on its formation in April 1918. He only served in the United Kingdom with this medal being his full entitlement. Allied victory medal ‘20333 1. A.M. A. OLDFIELD R.F.C’ Archie Oldfield was born in Dalston, London on 2nd June 1884 and attested for the Royal Flying Corps on 4th February 1916. He served in France between August 1916 and February 1917 and transferred to the Royal Air Force in August 1918. Victory medal ‘408482 2. A.M J. W. OLDLING R.A.F’, Oldling Initially enlisted into the Manchester Regiment (#250921) and served in Egypt from 13th October 1915. Allied Victory medal ‘F. 8637 C. W. TROTT A.M.1 R.N.A.S’. Charles William Trott was born in Chelsea, London on 3rd January 1891. He enlisted on 1st October 1915. His postings included a short spell at No.1 Royal Naval Balloon Base in Malta. He is also entitled to a British War medal for his service during the Great War. (4 items)
